Common questions

What is a DSCR loan?

A debt service coverage ratio loan qualifies the property on its rental income compared with its monthly payment (principal, interest, taxes, insurance and HOA), rather than mainly on your personal income.

What DSCR do lenders look for?

It varies by lender and program. Many look for a ratio around 1.0 to 1.25 or higher, and terms often improve as the ratio rises.

Can I close in an LLC?

Many investor loan programs allow closing in an LLC. Ask for the program's specific entity requirements.
